Instructions for Removing the Windscreen

Model: Volkswagen Jetta A4, MK 4 - Years 1998-2005
Part: Windshield

The front windscreen must be unglued from its seat using the steel wire: pass the wire through the edge of the windscreen and then all around; hook it to the pulling system and proceed to tension the wire which will cut through the sealant (optionally apply the pulling system at multiple points). Once the windscreen is removed, clean off the excess sealant from the edge of the bodywork, then apply the primer and sealant before repositioning the new windscreen. Once perfectly aligned, tension the windscreen with ratchet straps and leave the sealant to dry.
