Reset Service on Volkswagen Touran

While on many car models the reset of the service light on the dashboard requires specific procedures, on the first series Volkswagen Touran it is a very simple and even trivial process. Turn on the ignition and wait for the service message to appear. Press the button below the dashboard and hold it for a few seconds (about three) until the light disappears. Turn off the ignition and turn it back on as a final check. It is advisable not to perform the reset before actually completing the scheduled maintenance to avoid engine damage.
