In this video, see how to remove the throttle body on a fifth-generation Volkswagen Golf with a 1.6 petrol engine. First, open the bonnet and disconnect the intake hose; then remove the mass air sensor tube and disconnect the side electrical connector. Next, remove the plastic engine cover by disconnecting it from the throttle body; then disconnect the electrical connector for the throttle position sensor and unscrew the four Torx screws using a T30 socket. Finally, remove the throttle body!
