Operation: Remove the front axle shaft on the Volkswagen Golf 4

In this video tutorial we will see how to remove and replace the front axle shaft on Volkswagen Golf MK4, fourth series, following the instructions below. First we lift the car on the affected side and remove the front wheel; let's then disconnect the braking system from the axle shaft, removing the disc and the hub. At this point we are going to unscrew all the fixing bolts present on the base of the axle shaft, using a socket wrench; we just have to extract the front axle shaft, replacing it with the new one, following the video tutorial to the end!
