Removing the Thermostat from a Volkswagen Golf 4 GTI

In this tutorial, you will learn how to remove the thermostat from a Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk4. First, open the bonnet and remove the plastic engine cover by unscrewing the fixing screws. Then, disconnect the negative battery cable and remove the intake hose by loosening the clip. At this point, remove the throttle body and locate the thermostat near the alternator: unscrew its fixing screws and extract it. Finally, replace it with the new one and reassemble everything!
