In this tutorial, you will see how to remove the rear door of a Volkswagen Passat B5, a guide that is also valid for other models from the same generation of the German manufacturer. First, disconnect the various connections, which can be done with the rear door closed and the front door open. At mid-height, you will notice the large seal protecting the connections; move it aside and, using a screwdriver, disconnect the connectors. The next step is to loosen the bolts of the upper hinge, and then remove those of the lower hinge. This stage requires a second person, as you will need to support the door when removing the previously loosened hinge.
