How to Replace the Door Lock on a Volkswagen Golf 5?

To replace the door lock on a Volkswagen Golf 5, remove the trim located on the side of the door. This will allow you to loosen the screw underneath and pull out the lock cylinder from the outside, along with the handle. Once the handle is removed, loosen the screws securing the door panel and also those securing the lock inside, disconnecting the connectors as well. This will allow you to remove the lock and replace it with a new spare part.
