How to replace the door lock on the Volkswagen Golf?

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf VII, MK 7, Golf 7 - Years 2012-2019

To replace the door lock on the Volkswagen Golf, open the door to detach the side trim: beneath this trim, you will find the screw that secures the lock in place. By loosening this screw, you can pull the lock out of its housing, also detaching it from the handle: once the old lock has been removed, insert the new one so that it is secured in its housing. After installation, check that everything operates correctly.
