How to Replace the Door Lock on a Volkswagen Golf 4?

To replace the door lock on a Volkswagen Golf 4, loosen the screws securing the panel: these are located beneath the trim of the grab handle. Once the door panel is completely removed, you will have access to the underlying components: the lock can be removed by loosening the side and internal screws of the mechanism, also disconnecting the appropriate connectors. After the old lock has been removed, insert the new one, securing it with the appropriate screws and connecting it to the wires, then refit the corresponding door panel.
