How to Remove the Door Lock from the Volkswagen Golf 4?

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf IV, MK 4, Golf 4 - Years 1997-2003

To replace the door lock on the Volkswagen Golf 4, first, detach the inner door panel by unscrewing the appropriate securing screws. This will allow you to access the components underneath, where you can unscrew the bolts securing the handle and lock from the inside and also disconnect the connectors. Once the lock is removed, replace it with a new spare part, reconnecting all the securing elements from the inside. Finally, position and secure the door panel back in place.
