Installation of Fuel Filler Flap Release

Since the fuel filler flap is opened via a button inside the cabin, it may be useful to install a system that allows it to be opened simply by bringing the key close to the flap. Therefore, remove the entire flap assembly and drill a hole just behind the hinge to allow the receiver wires to pass through, which will need to be glued inside the flap. Route the cables through the boot, and once the side trim is removed, locate the power wires for the interior light and the electric lock of the flap; using wire taps, power the control unit for the opening system and connect it to the electric lock socket.
