Removing the Engine Management ECU

Model: Volkswagen Bora MK 6 - Years 1998-2005

The engine management ECU is located beneath the plastic grille just below the windscreen: to access the ECU, first remove the seal applied to the edge of the grille, disassemble the wiper arms, and take off the grille by prying along the edges. Once you reach the ECU housing, disconnect the battery before detaching the connectors linked to the ECU itself. Once the ECU connector is free, pull it forward and slide it out like a drawer.
