VW Passat Key Remote Battery Replacement

Do you want to replace the battery in your Passat key? Here's how to disassemble the key fob and change the battery. Take your ignition key and use a screwdriver to pry between the two plastic parts: separate the two pieces and then open the part of the key where the battery is stored. Remove the flat battery with a screwdriver and take a new one of the same size and voltage. Fit the new battery into its housing. Secure the two parts of the key fob until you hear it click into place. Check the operation of the key fob.
