How to Remove the Ignition Switch from a Volkswagen Golf 5?

To remove the ignition switch from a Volkswagen Golf 5, you need to unclip the plastic covers located at the top and bottom of the steering column. Next, remove the front airbag to access the nut on the steering shaft, which must be loosened with a socket spanner. This will allow you to slide off the steering wheel and subsequently remove the indicators after loosening the appropriate screws. At this point, you can also unscrew the bolts securing the ignition switch, removing it and replacing it with a new spare part.
