The following steps will show you how to disassemble and replace the ignition barrel of a Volkswagen Golf, as well as a Jetta. First, open the bonnet and disconnect the battery; then, get inside the cabin and remove the plastic cover under the steering wheel, as shown in the video.

At this point, use a Torx key to unscrew the bolts of the barrel, removing the pin and disconnecting the electrical connector; install the new ignition barrel and finally start the engine!
