This guide will show you the steps to empty the fuel tank of the Volkswagen Jetta with a TDI engine in case of emergency, without removing the tank or fuel pump. First, open the bonnet and get a container and a hose to drain the fuel; what you will do is disconnect the fuel supply hose, then turn the starter motor to begin draining all the fuel from the tank. Finally, reconnect the hose and refuel to start the engine!
