How to Replace the Remote Battery on a Volkswagen Passat

To replace the battery in the key fob for a Volkswagen Passat, loosen the small screw located on the front of the remote to remove the upper cover, which is attached to the key blade. Once the upper part is removed, open the two halves of the lower part. This will allow access to the battery, which you can extract from its housing and replace. Once the new battery is inserted into its housing, close the two halves of the remote and reattach the upper part, securing it with the corresponding screw.
