To quickly and correctly replace the button battery inside the smart key of your Volkswagen Arteon, you only need a few simple steps. First, fully remove the emergency key from the cover.

Once done, take off the back part of the cover with your hands and proceed to replace the old battery with a new one. Finally, refit the back cover and remember to insert the physical emergency key inside. At this point, just test the key's functionality, and you're finished.
