How to Remove the Ignition Lock Cylinder on the Volkswagen Golf 5

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 5, Golf 5, Golf V - Years 2003-2008

In this video tutorial, you will see how to dismantle and replace the ignition lock cylinder on the fifth generation Volkswagen Golf. First, disconnect the battery; then, get inside the vehicle and start by removing the plastic cover of the steering wheel. Now unscrew the rear screws to remove the airbag, then unscrew the central screw with a Torx key to remove the steering wheel, as illustrated in the video; proceed to disconnect the various electrical connectors. At this point, dismantle and remove the ignition lock cylinder, following the video to the end!
