Instructions for Removing the Locking Wheel Nut

Many car manufacturers use a locking wheel nut for securing wheels, especially for alloy wheels: this is a nut with a specific geometry that can only be undone with the corresponding shaped socket (even for the same make and model, each car has a different locking nut and therefore a different removal socket).
To remove the wheel, first ensure you have the correct shaped socket, then proceed to remove the hub cap, insert the socket onto the corresponding nut, and then remove it using a standard socket wrench.
