Replacement of Rear Discs and Pads

Model: Volkswagen Jetta MK 5, A5 - Years 2005-2010

Once you have raised the vehicle and removed the rear wheels, undo the retaining bolts of the brake caliper, extract the old pads, and remove the caliper bracket; take out the retaining pin of the disc from the hub and then the disc itself; retract the caliper piston by turning it with the appropriate tool; clean the disc of protective oil, clean the hub seat, and apply the new disc; then install the caliper bracket, the new pads, and the caliper itself, lubricating the pins. Refit the wheel and pump the brake pedal until it offers the correct resistance; be cautious during the initial braking.
