Replacing and Maintaining Brake Pads

Replacing or maintaining the brake pads is a crucial operation for your car's safety; however, it is something you can do yourself without the help of your mechanic. After placing your car on secure supports and removing the relevant wheel, you can remove the affected pad simply by pulling it outwards. If necessary, use a plastic tool to apply a slight lever. Once you have checked the condition of the pad, if you are not satisfied, replace it. You can lubricate it with silicone or metal paste (better), and reposition it in its place. Perform the same operation for the upper pad.
