Replacement of Rear Brake Pads and Discs

Model: Volkswagen Jetta MK 5, A5 - Years 2005-2010

Remove the wheel and gently detach the caliper by removing the two bolts with a ratchet spanner. Disconnect the brake fluid line that feeds the piston. Remove the worn pads and replace them with two new ones of the same type, cleaning any dirt with a brush before installation. Refit the bracket, cleaning and lubricating the fixing bolts, then tighten them with a spanner. Reattach the caliper. The pad with the electrical contacts must be fitted towards the inside, ensuring the correct direction of travel. Realign the piston by pushing it inwards and check the pads' adherence to the disc. Once completed, restore the brake fluid.
