Rear Headlamp Bulb Replacement

Model: Volkswagen Passat 3BG, B5 - Years 1996-2005

To replace the bulbs in the rear headlamp, it is not necessary to remove the headlamp itself as you can easily detach the bulb holder. Once you have opened the boot, move the carpet covering the headlamp area and detach the bulb holder by pressing on the fastening tabs (you can also avoid disconnecting the power connector). At this point, simply extract the old bulbs and insert the new ones (bayonet fitting: press and twist to remove, and reverse the procedure to secure them).

While driving, if you notice the tyre pressure warning light coming on, first check the actual inflation pressure of the tyres and, if necessary, restore the pressures recommended by the manufacturer.
