How to Change the Engine Oil and Oil Filter in a Volkswagen Touran

In this video tutorial, you will see how to change the engine oil and oil filter in a Volkswagen Touran by following some essential steps: the first thing to do is lift the bonnet and secure it with the appropriate prop; the next step is to unscrew the oil filler cap, clean the oil filter with a multi-purpose cleaning spray; using a 12 mm socket, unscrew the cap of the filter housing along with the old filter element; remove the old filter and place it in a container. Lift the car using a jack and place safety stands under the vehicle. Using a T25 Torx key, loosen the fasteners of the lower oil sump cover and remove the oil sump cover. Place a container under the oil sump. Using a 19 mm spanner, unscrew the oil drain plug and wait for all the oil to drain into the container, clean the oil drain hole and then screw in the new drain plug, using a torque wrench to 30 Nm. Reassemble all removed parts in reverse order. Lower the car and replace the old oil filter with a new one.
