Volkswagen Touran: how to change the engine oil

To perform an oil change on a Volkswagen, work with the engine warm and the car on level ground. Open the hood and unscrew the oil filler cap to facilitate drainage. Safely lift the front of the car and access the lower part of the engine; if there is an undercarriage protection, remove it to reach the oil pan. Place a large container under the drain plug and unscrew it with the appropriate wrench, allowing the old oil to drain completely. When the flow slows down, clean the area and reattach the plug with its washer in good condition. Then, replace the oil filter in its seat, making sure to tighten the new filter correctly. At this point, lower the car back to the ground, pour the new oil through the top opening, and check the level with the dipstick, ensuring it is between the minimum and maximum marks. Start the engine for a few seconds, turn it off, and check the level again, adding oil if necessary. Finally, check for any leaks under the vehicle and replace any removed covers: your oil change on the Volkswagen is complete.
