Timing Belt Replacement

The timing belt should typically be replaced every 62,000 miles. To perform this job correctly, use torque wrenches for the tensioner bearing mounting bolts. The work should be done with the engine cold. Rotate the crankshaft to align it with the timing marks on the camshaft, loosen the tensioner bearing, remove the timing belt, detach the tensioner bearing and the fixed guide bearing. Be careful to insert the belt without damaging it, ensuring to follow the direction of the arrows present on it in the direction of rotation.
