How to Replace the Timing Belt on a Volkswagen Sharan

To replace the timing belt on a Volkswagen Sharan: open the bonnet and lift it securely. Remove the plastic soundproofing panel from the engine, and lift the vehicle with a column lift if necessary to access the underside. Use a spanner to loosen the tensioner pulley and remove the belt from its position. Use a socket to unscrew the tensioner pulley bolt and remove the water pump. Fit the new water pump, tensioner, and belt, tightening everything with the socket. Finally, refit the radiator with the securing bolts.
