Replacing the Valve Stem

Your car requires regular maintenance on every small part, including the valve stem seals. With some mechanical knowledge, plenty of patience, dexterity, and the right tools, this operation can be done by yourself. Use a socket wrench to remove the crankshaft, and with the same socket wrench, proceed to remove the spring that acts as a compressor on the valves. Then, with a pair of thin pliers, remove the pins located on the valve stem. Very slowly, you can then remove both the valve and the seal to be replaced.
