How to Enter a Volkswagen Tiguan and Start It with a Flat Key Fob?

Learn how to enter and start a Volkswagen Tiguan even with a flat key fob. The key fob contains a security key. Under the handle, there is a small slot where you can insert the key and, while slightly opening the handle, slide off the cover. At this point, simply insert the key into the lock and open the door normally. However, once inside, the car won't start because the key fob battery is flat. Fortunately, you can still start the car: after all, you are the owner. Press the start button, place the key on the sensor, and the vehicle will start. To replace the battery, press the button on the key, gently pry open the casing. With a small screwdriver, apply pressure under the battery (a CR2032 that can be purchased for a few pounds at a newsagent or supermarket), reinsert it ensuring the correct polarity, and put the casing back together.
