Gear Selector Modification Kit

If the gear lever tends to stick during gear changes, it is likely that there is play in the coupling between the pin and the plate that supports the gear cables: there is a modification kit that involves replacing the original plate with a steel one and replacing the cable fixing bushes with clamps. Disconnect the gear cables from the plate and remove the plate itself, slide the eyelets off the gear cables and proceed with the installation of the new kit, inserting the cables into the appropriate clamps; before tightening the nuts, detach the gaiter of the gear lever, lift the soundproofing cover and insert a centring pin into the appropriate holes to keep the gear lever perfectly centred: at this point, tighten the nuts to secure the gear cables.
