To correctly and independently replace the button battery in your Volkswagen Passat key, carefully read the following mini guide. First, locate the back of the cover and remove it by applying slight pressure with your hands.

Once done, also remove the old battery using a thin object, then insert the new button battery that is fully compatible with your key model. Finally, reattach the back cover correctly and test the key's functionality.
