Replacing the Air Conditioning Compressor

Model: Volkswagen New Beetle MK 2, 9C - Years 1999-2012

Position the vehicle on suitable car ramps to facilitate access to the underside of the engine. Remove the plastic protection cover and locate the air conditioning compressor, which is found at the bottom left (when viewed from the front). Before proceeding with the disassembly, it is advisable to recover the gas using the appropriate tool. Loosen the tensioner of the auxiliary belt to free the compressor pulley, disconnect the connector, and remove the fixing pins of the pipes. At this point, proceed to remove the fixing pins of the compressor itself.
