Brake Pedal Switch Replacement

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf IV, MK 4, Golf 4 - Years 1997-2003

To replace the brake pedal switch, which activates the stop lights when the pedal is pressed, remove the plastic cover located just above the pedal assembly: the purple switch is easily visible. Disconnect the connector from the top, disengage the switch by rotating it, and extract it from its seat. Then, proceed in reverse for the installation of the new switch, fitting it into its seat and finally connecting the corresponding connector. Once the correct operation of the new switch is verified, refit the plastic cover.
