Engine Oil and Filter Replacement

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 6, Golf VI, Golf 6, 5K1 - Years 2008-2012

If possible, position the vehicle on suitable car ramps to facilitate access to the oil sump; then place a container under the drain plug and unscrew it to drain the used oil. While the oil drains from the sump, locate the oil filter cartridge, which is situated in front of the sump, and replace it using a metal strap or chain wrench to unscrew it. Apply clean oil to the gasket of the new filter and screw it into place without exceeding the torque specification. Finally, screw the plug back into the sump and fill the engine with clean oil until it reaches the correct level.
