In this guide, follow the steps to top up the fluids on the Volkswagen Golf 1.6 TDI. First, open the bonnet of your car and check the coolant level; it should be at the maximum level mark (then unscrew the cap and top up). Similarly, check the brake fluid level and top up if necessary.

Next, check the engine oil; pull out the dipstick and wipe it with a dry cloth; if the level is at the tip or the first mark, top up with the same type of oil until it reaches the maximum mark!
