Cabin Air Filter Replacement

Model: Volkswagen Passat 3BG, B5 - Years 1996-2005
Part: Cabin air filter

The cabin air filter is located on the passenger side, just below the glove compartment. Remove the sound-absorbing cover to access the filter housing by taking out the plastic fastening screws. Then, detach the cap of the cabin air filter housing and extract the old filter, ensuring no dirt remains in the filter housing. Insert the new filter, respecting the direction of the airflow. Refit the cap and the sound-absorbing panel. When selecting the new filter, opt for one with activated carbon.
