Replacing the Cabin Air Filter

Model: Volkswagen Passat B6, 3C - Years 2005-2010
Part: Cabin air filter

The cabin air filter is located on the passenger side, beneath the glove compartment and just above the scuff plate: first, remove the soundproofing cover secured with two plastic fasteners. At this point, you can locate the filter housing and its cap: the cap can be released by pulling it to the left as if it were a drawer. Then, extract the old filter, ensure there are no impurities inside the filter housing, and insert the new one, respecting the direction of the airflow. Finally, refit the cap and the cover.
