Operation: How to replace the ignition coil on a Volkswagen Polo IV

Let's see how to replace the coil on a Volkswagen Polo IV. Disconnect the oil pan breather hose and lift off the crankcase hose. Undo the screws on the engine cover. Using a T30 torx wrench, remove the engine cover, then loosen the ignition coil connector locking clips. With a flat screwdriver, pry up the ignition coil. Using a coil puller, remove the ignition coil from the spark plug housing, then disassemble the connector. The tip of the coil should be treated with high temperature grease. To protect the contacts from corrosion, apply a small amount of dielectric paste (silicone grease) to the connector. Then connect the ignition coil connector, then install it in the spark plug housing: You must hear a "click" for it to be securely installed, then close the connector. Now we can reassemble the engine cover and fix it with the Torx T30 key. reconnect the oil sump breather pipe and the job is finished.
