How to Replace the Fuel Pump on Smart Cars

In this video, you will learn how to replace the fuel pump on a Volkswagen Beetle. First, disconnect the two fuel hoses from the pump that come from the carburettor. Have the necessary tools ready for the replacement (spanners, grease, replacement seals, the flange, and the new pump). Take a 13 mm spanner and begin loosening the nuts that secure the pump. Remove the pump from its housing and take out the underlying seal. Be careful not to remove the flange as you risk breaking it. Now, extract the pump's drive rod and proceed to install the new pump as shown in the video.
