The gearbox of the car model in question can be inspected through a side plug: lift the car on suitable axle stands and remove the left front wheel (driver's side) to take off the plastic wheel arch liner and the splash guard under the engine; once you reach the gearbox, unscrew the oil drain plug, then remove the retaining pins of the side plug to take it off (be careful of oil spillage) to access the gears: you will notice an off-centre circlip that needs to be repositioned.
