How to Remove the Airbag and Steering Wheel on the Volkswagen Touran, Polo and Lupo

In this video, see how to remove the airbag and steering wheel on the Volkswagen Polo (also applicable to Touran and Lupo). With the key in the ignition, turn the steering wheel fully to the right until the first screw at the back becomes visible; then turn it to the opposite side to remove the screw on the other side, freeing the airbag. Now, pull the airbag towards you, as it has been released. Disconnect the electrical connector using a screwdriver, and now, using a sturdy screwdriver, pry at the sides of the steering wheel to remove it from its mount; some pressure will be required to get it out.
