How to deactivate the passenger airbag on the Volkswagen Touareg?

Model: Volkswagen Touareg MK 2, 7P - Years 2010-2018

To deactivate the passenger airbag on the Volkswagen Touareg, remove the key from the remote by lowering the appropriate lever on the side of the device. Once the key is extracted, open the glove compartment on the passenger side and locate the lock on the right side. Insert the key and turn it to switch from ON to OFF: this will deactivate the passenger airbag. To reactivate it, simply turn the lock back to the ON position and close the glove compartment.
