To deactivate the passenger airbag of the Volkswagen Touareg, you need to remove the key from inside the remote control by lowering the lever on the side of the device. Once the key has been extracted, you can open the passenger-side storage compartment and locate the lock on the right side. Here, you can insert the key and turn it from ON to OFF: this will deactivate the passenger airbag. To activate it again, simply turn the lock back to ON and close the compartment.
