Instructions for Removing the Instrument Cluster

Model: Volkswagen Jetta MK 6, A6 - Years 2010-2018

To remove the instrument cluster, first detach the trim surrounding it, which integrates the air vents and the upper shell covering the light switch controls. Start by prising along the edges of the central air vents to gradually release the trim around the instrument cluster, including the air vent to its left, until you also remove the upper section of the light switch. Then disconnect the connector for the indicator switch to complete the removal of the trim and access the screws securing the dial. Unscrew them and remove the cluster by disconnecting the relevant connector.
