How to Remove Rear Seats from Volkswagen Golf IV

Removing the rear seats is straightforward and requires no tools. Start by pulling the tab on the passenger side seat base to tilt it forward. Once tilted, detach the hinge retainers from their respective housing bushes. Repeat the same steps to remove the seat base from the driver's side. At this point, unclip the backrest from the parcel shelf support and tilt it forward, then unclip the securing mechanism from the body side and slide the backrest off the pin acting as a hinge. Repeat the same steps for the driver's side backrest.
