In this brief video tutorial, learn how to replace the battery in the remote key of a seventh-generation Volkswagen Golf, produced from 2012 to 2019. First, press the release button on the physical key to remove it from its housing. Now, remove the back cover of the remote as shown in the video.

Once done, extract the old battery and replace it with a new one, ensuring the positive side is facing upwards. Finally, reassemble the remote.

The required battery is a CR2025, 3V.
