To disable the passenger airbag on a Volkswagen Golf, open the front passenger door to locate the switch on the side of the dashboard: this switch needs to be turned from ON to OFF using the ignition key. Once the switch is turned, return to the interior and switch on the ignition: on the central dashboard panel, you can verify that the passenger airbag is deactivated; then you can switch off the ignition.
