How to deactivate the passenger airbag in the Volkswagen Golf?

To deactivate the passenger airbag in the Volkswagen Golf, open the glove compartment located on the front passenger side: here, in the upper left part, you will find a lock with the airbag symbol. This lock must be turned from ON to OFF to deactivate the airbag, which will also cause the corresponding warning light to illuminate. When the airbag needs to be reactivated, simply insert the key into the lock and turn it back to ON, then close the glove compartment.
