Volkswagen Passat - Video tutorial

Model: Volkswagen Passat 3BG, B5 - Years 1996-2005
Part: Tires
Operation: How to use the tire repair and inflator kit

There are more and more cars where we find the tire repair and inflation kit as standard, a valid alternative even for those who have a spare wheel, but prefer not to replace it on their own. The use is very simple and takes a few minutes, which is very important since in most cases we will find ourselves using it with the car stopped at the side of the road, perhaps in traffic, let's see how it works. The specimen that we can see in the video, is equipped with a sticker to be applied on the steering wheel to remind us to go as soon as possible to a tire dealer to have the tire properly repaired, once the adhesive has been applied, we position the compressorino near the punctured wheel, we connect the black tube with the bottle of putty, the red one with the valve of the affected wheel. At this point we insert the power socket of the compressorino in the cigarette lighter of the car and turn it on, this will start the flow of the mastic inside the tire, which will settle definitively when we start driving.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
