How to Replace the Cabin Air Pollen Filter

Model: Volkswagen Jetta MK 5, A5 - Years 2005-2010
Part: Cabin air filter

Locate the cabin air filter housing, which is situated behind the glove compartment in front of the passenger seat. Access the housing from below under the glove compartment. You will find a plastic cover that can be removed by unscrewing the two plastic screws located at the positions indicated by the red arrows in the video image. Once the cover is removed, you will see the cover of the actual filter housing. To remove it, slide it to the right. Extract the old filter and insert the new one in the same position. Remember to change the filter every 15,000 miles or at least once a year. The car on which the filter replacement was performed is a Volkswagen Jetta.
